This is usually discussed after an initial free of charge 30 minutes online consultation.
There are some slots offered to young adults (up to the age of 25 years old) who are studying, are self-funded , or have recently uprooted to another country from their country of origins.
The same applies to clinicians in training, or recently qualified and to charities and newly-established organisations.
These sessions are usually offered during off peak hours (i.e. not evenings, nor weekends).
60 minutes for individuals and their families. Between 60- 120 minutes for colleagues and organisations. Longer in duration sessions can be arranged upon request.
You can pay up front via our online portal before each slot, or we can arrange weekly or monthly invoicing. Payment is due in advance of slots. All major credit and debit cards are accepted and Paypal.
There is a 24-hours cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before the agreed time of the session, you won’t be charged and any pre-payment received will be either refunded, or will be utilised for re-scheduling a slot. In any other case, the full amount agreed will have to be paid and/or retained (if it was booked in advance).
This mainly depends on a number of factors such as: presenting concerns, commitment, motivation and finances.
The ethos of this online independent practice is ‘offering support at the time of need’.
However, as other services and/or colleagues may hold a better and more extensive expertise, clear recommendations will be suggested about the input being offered through them and/or within a more structured multi-disciplinary format. Particularly, in situations that there is higher risk, such as active eating disorders or other mental and emotional difficulties that might pose risk to either self or others and/ or by others.
The service adheres to the ethical frameworks of good and safe practice, as outlined by the professional bodies of BPS, BACP and BABCP.
A safe and confidential space is offered for all sessions.
Non-identifiable information will from time to time be shared with the online independent practice’s own clinical supervisor in order to ensure that this online independent practice operates in a highly ethic and respectful manner and in accordance to frameworks of good clinical practice and governance (improving the quality of the service and care offered).
It will be required to breach confidentiality, if there is a particular concern about your own, or someone else’s safety. In such cases, the online independent practice will try to discuss it first with you before acting on any of our concerns. This will be discussed again during our first consultation and/or meeting.
